Smoking clutch

Just took #39 on her first spin.

Is it normal for clutch to smoke?? I have 4HP engine.

I drove it hard up and down the street and smoking appears to have stopped. I'll post update if it comes back.

There can sometimes be a bit of oil residue on a new clutch. The smoke was likely that burning off. After the first heat cycle, it should clear up (sounds like it has)

Thank you Zee. We have another backer that reported this and it is good to know that it appears to just be the initial surface of the clutch shoes.
